Will the trays be painful like metal braces?
No. Invisalign aligners are smooth, comfortable and easy to clean. Patients wear the trays all day and night and only remove them to eat. The majority of people that you see and talk to on a daily basis will have no idea that you are straightening your teeth because the trays are virtually invisible.
With traditional metal braces it is a lot harder on the patient. The brackets cause irritation in patient’s mouths and make it difficult to eat and enjoy certain foods. Since the Invisalign trays are removable patients do not need to change their diet or waste time cleaning brackets after each time eating. Simply pop out the tray, enjoy your meal, and pop the trays right back in!
How long do I wear each tray for?
Patients change their aligners every 2 weeks. The doctor will give you 3 or 4 trays at a time so that you are coming into the office every 6 to 8 weeks.
How long will it take to straighten my teeth with Invisalign?

How do I prevent my teeth from shifting back after I finish Invisalign treatment?
Once you finish Invisalign treatment we will make custom retainers for you to wear periodically at night. This will keep the teeth straight long-term so that they do not shift back.
