    Philadelphia Dentistry Dental Fees

At our office, your appointment is specifically reserved for you. Your first cleaning appointment typically lasts about one hour, during which you’ll meet our friendly and highly trained staff. You’ll receive a thorough cleaning from our skilled hygienist, four complimentary cavity detection X-rays, and a free exam with Dr. Jeon or Dr. Ridge. We value your time and strive to see you as close to your scheduled appointment as possible. We also make every effort to accommodate new patients within one week of your appointment request.

We take pride in maintaining clear communication to ensure all your questions are answered. Since your appointment is reserved exclusively for you, you’ll experience minimal wait times, and we’ll never rush your visit.

    Dental Cleaning

The type of dental cleaning you need depends on the level of tartar and plaque buildup, as well as your overall oral health, such as the presence of issues like bleeding gums.

If you have dental insurance, it will typically cover 80% to 100% of this fee. We ask all new patients to pay for this appointment even if they have dental insurance. Your dental insurance company will then directly reimburse you. This means that you will personally receive a check for these services from your insurance company, usually within 2-3 weeks of receiving the service. We will gladly send your claim forms electronically to your insurance company to ensure quick reimbursement to you. This is done to establish a trusting relationship between our office and you. We file all insurance claims for you at no cost.

Cavity Detection X-rays (Bitewings): These X-rays capture the spaces between your back teeth and are taken every 6 months in our office, as recommended by the American Dental Association.

Full Mouth Series of X-rays: This set includes 18 X-rays and is essential for patients requiring deep cleanings (scaling and root planing), those with multiple fillings, or individuals interested in cosmetic dental treatments. We highly recommend this if you’ve never had a full set of X-rays or if it’s been more than three years since your last set. As advised by the American Dental Association, these X-rays are updated every three years.

    Emergency Exam

If your first visit to our office is for an emergency, we will see you within 24 hours of your phone call. We can usually see you immediately.

    We will provide you with:

    1. Limited, problem-focused exam
    2. Necessary x-ray
    3. Diagnostic testing to determine what the problem is and where it
      is located
    4. Necessary instructions and prescriptions for medications

The fees for this visit is to be paid at the time of service. If you have insurance, we submit all insurance claims for you for reimbursement directly to you. After making the diagnosis, we will discuss the problem with you, provide information about the problem, and any necessary instructions and prescriptions for
    medications.

Our doctor’s diagnosis will determine what will be done. Depending on this diagnosis, you may be brought back to receive necessary treatment and a comprehensive exam after the pain, infection or swelling have decreased. We follow this protocol in order to provide the greatest amount of comfort and safety to you when the necessary procedures are performed.

    Broken Appointments

Just a quick note. Because our office respects your time, we ask that you honor all appointments that you make in our office. An appointment is an agreement by us that we will be on time and ready for you when you arrive and also that you will be on time for your appointment. If you must change an appointment, we request a minimum of 48 hours notice.

With adequate notice, we are able to help someone else during that time. Broken appointments with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Broken appointments are unfair to other patients because someone else could have been helped during that time. Thank you for your kind understanding.
